EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH AWARD APPLICATION 2009

PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
Applications should address significant problems or questions in which additional evidence is needed to evaluate nursing education or practice. The focus of the research should be improvement of student or patient outcomes. Proposals must identify and describe research objectives, background and significance, and scientific methods (design, sample, setting, data collection procedures and analysis). A dissemination plan also needs to be included.
The proposal should be word processed using a font size of 12, single-spaced and limited to no more than 10 pages (excluding references and supportive materials).
REVIEW PROCESS
Applications and proposals will be evaluated and ranked by a review panel, appointed by the President, comprised of individuals from TOBGNE member schools. Reviewers may not be from schools submitting applications or proposals for the award category (research/teaching).
One application from each category will be selected for an award of $1,500.00, which may be matched by the recipient’s school depending on availability of funds. Award winner will be selected by December 1, 2009, and honored at the spring TOBGNE meeting, January 28, 2010.
